Kerry Challis Thomas is a contemporary artist whose practice ranges across several mediums such as photography, video, painting, puppetry, print making, drawing and performance. Challis’s practice explores a broad range of concepts. Grief, abjection, memory, identity, pattern, abstraction and mark making. Challis originally born in Wales currently lives in the Jiangsu province,China. Challis has a strong education in both classical and digital art, receiving his Masters degree from the university of Swansea in 2017. Challis is able to blur the lines between his mediums and allow them to feed and immerse one another cultivating an inner world.
 
Kerry will join the Foundation as the Applied Creative Support teacher helping students with the evaluation, reflection and communication of art and design as well as support with a variety of art and design workshops
