The BACA Foundation
This course is divided into three phases guiding you along the way to create a final project. The course goal is to provide you with an internationally recognized qualification by Pearson.

We at BACA are proud to support our students in finding and following their individual creative path. We give advice and guidance at every step of the way, may it be in an individual or team setting, because we are highly skilled and experienced teachers as well as artists.
During the first phase of BACA Foundation, you will deepen your understanding of possible specifications by investigation and experimentation while keeping your future goals in mind. Once you have gotten an overview and have defined your education goals, you will choose your pathway. You will demonstrate your ability to study at an international BA level by creating and perfecting your very own portfolio. The final phase consists of choosing and completing your self-initiated, final project, which will display an exhibition piece.
BACA Foundation is a fast-paced course which requires you to be creatively mature, out-spoken as well as resilient to a highly competitive environment. BACA specifically created this course to give you the well-rounded foundation you need to succeed in the international art world.
Throughout your time at BACA, the teaching experts put great importance on developing your English writing, listening and speaking skills to give you a solid base for your international studies in the future.
The BACA art curriculum includes an excellent English language (art focused) education by native speakers, enabling you to express your ideas as well as understand and engage with the work of others.
Course Outline:
Guided learning hours (GHL): 642 (full-time course Monday - Friday)
BACA Foundation offers the following pathways:
- Art& Design (fine art, sculpture, photography)
- 3D (architecture, spatial, interior and product design)
- Fashion textile design (womenswear, menswear, sportswear, accessory, contour, pattern cutting, jewelry, styling, textile design, knit, print, etc.)
- Visual Communication (graphic design, illustration, film, animation, media design).
