Level three Diploma in Creative Media
is an exciting new course at BACA. The course goal is to provide you with an internationally recognized qualification, equivalent to two UK A-Levels in art and design.
You will be able to get an in-depth look into photography, film, video, animation, game design and art, VFX, modelling, web design as well as publishing.
After an introduction phase to explore these fields, you will concentrate your efforts on a chosen specification within creative media.

The International Level 3 Diploma in Creative Media will teach technical skills through workshops and exercises. The course aims to support you in discovering and pursuing your personal interests and allows you to create new work along your chosen pathway. This will enable you to confidently select your university courses in the future, as you have gotten a first impression of the industry as well as possible career paths. After one year you will have developed a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
The course supports the progression to BA courses at UK Universities and as well as BACA Foundation (FAD). After one year you will have developed a strong portfolio for your university application. Throughout your time at BACA, the teaching staff also puts great importance on developing your English writing, listening and speaking skills to give you a solid base for your international studies in the future.
The BACA art curriculum includes an excellent English language (art focused) education by native speakers, enabling you to express your ideas as well as understand and engage with the work of others.

Course Outline
Guided learning hours (GHL): 720 (full-time course Monday - Friday)
Units: The course consists of four projects, including one external project given by Pearson. Students will complete a sketchbook, a body of work and develop a digital portfolio consisting of your work completed in these four projects.
Pathways: BACA Level 3 Diploma Creative Media offers the following pathways. (In the first 12 weeks the teachers will support you in finding your pathway.)

Target students
1. Students who have completed any A-Levels or completed the first year of high school in China; Students who have completed year 10 in US/Canada/Australia or AS students or GCSE second year in the UK.
2. Students who have a strong interest in the digital arts, film, video, animation, photography or gaming and wish to pursue a career within creative media.
3. Students who wish to attain a higher education certificate. (Please note that a high school diploma and English IELTS score of 5.5 are both needed.)

English Level: BACA Test 4.5/IELTS 4.5 (extended Diploma BTEC);5.0 (BA Progression)
