An international Education: About the A-Level
A-Level stands for ‘Advanced Level’. A-Levels can be attained in various subjects in order to secure an offer from your desired art school in the UK. After your have completed your A-Level Year Two, you have the option to progress to BACA Foundation (FAD) or directly begin your BA studies.

The BACA A-Level promotes a holistic approach to learning as we combine high level pre-university training with vocational excellence. During year one, students are encouraged to choose multiple interdisciplinary A-Level subjects.

In the past six years, BACA has been able to maintain an admission rate of 98% for its students’ applications to various undergraduate courses at University of the Arts London (UAL).
BACA A-Level in Art and Design Year One
This course is an equivalent level to the first year of Chinese high-school. In this course you will receive an introduction to a diverse range of art and design subjects in preparation for your second year, enabling you to then choose your focal points.
BACA’s creative subjects include: Graphic & Photography, Textile Design and Fine Art. You will be pursuing an academic qualification while your teachers are encouraging you to try new techniques and methodologies through a vocational excellence approach. This combination will enable you to build confidence, develop your creative skill set and give you an enhanced experience of attending art school.
Throughout your time at BACA, the teaching staff also puts great importance on developing your English writing, listening and speaking skills to give you a solid base for your international studies in the future. The BACA art curriculum includes an excellent English language (art focused) education by native speakers, enabling you to express your ideas as well as understand and engage with the work of others.
