DEC CHRISTMAS WORKSHOPS

DEC 22ndONE DAY SCULPTURE WORKSHOP
 
Full day, 10 – 4pm
 
Students will use cardboard to create creative furniture or a ‘dream house’. Cardboard is the primary material used in this project. It is material that has both structural and decorative attributes. Students will learn to work with cardboard using various techniques such as cutting, joining, peeling, and forming. They can get very creative and use acrylic paint to add color to their masks.

PLASTIC WRAP SCULPTURES
 
Plastic Wrap Sculptures is a fun project because it often yields unexpected results. Students jump right into creating full size sculptures in an easy and creative way. They must work in groups and help each other in order to create 3D sculptures, as well as come up with an action or character that the sculpture will represent.
Final work can be arranged with other groups and recorded as a sketch or a painting.

3 SHADOW ART:
 
In this workshop students will use various trash items and packaging to create a silhouette (shadow) scene. This project encourages students to cooperate with each other to generate 

the idea. It also promotes sustainability through use of "unusable" materials to create art. Final shadow art can be transformed into colorful images through use of markers and paint.
