[ Short Course ] Creative Art for Under 16
“Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up” a well know quote from Pablo Picasso, also the Russian educationalist and psychologist Leonid Vladimirovich Zankov once said, "People have a deep and strong need to appreciate and create beauty." This is a human desire to create and express themselves and is very important in the growth of children’s awareness, imagination and observation. From this point, children need a method to discover, experience and create "art and beauty" to achieve fulfilment and richness in development and learning.
From this point of view, BACA Art Centre offers "Creative Art" courses for children aged from 7 to 16. The course lasts 12 weeks. Apart from flexible time and diverse topic, it also offers unique opportunity to learn art and create in a pure English environment. "Creative Art" has brought together the inspirations from everyday objects and human behaviour in life. Also use different medias such as drawing, painting, 3D modelling and printing to let children understand the art materials and skills.
"Creative Art" is taught by British contemporary artists and art educators Charlie Dutton and Liam Yeates, in addition, South African designer Monique van Zyl. The course is taught in English with a Chinese assistant, considering the multiple needs from students, the course aims to improve children’s talent in painting, drawing and English level as well as their imagination, observational skills and thinking. "Creative Art" is not only an art course but also a practising process that will break the boundaries between daily life and art. Through the "Creative Art" course, children can create their own artworks while exploring an artistic process.
